A distinguished scholar advancing the intersection of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Cybersecurity and ICT for Development, with a strong portfolio in applied research, digital innovation and capacity building across Africa.

Prof Attlee Munyaradzi Gamundani is an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and the founding lead of the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and ICT for Development (ICT4D) Research Cluster. His scholarly work integrates AI, IoT, cybersecurity, digital health and smart-city innovation to address Africa’s complex developmental challenges.

He has led and contributed to several multi-country research projects, including AI-enabled maternal health innovation, urban water resilience, smart agriculture and national cybersecurity capacity building.

His professional engagements include serving as an International Jury Member at the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) across Greece, the USA, South America and Japan, and advisory roles with several continental technology and governance initiatives.

His work continues to advance ethical, secure and inclusive digital societies—shaping future technology leaders while expanding Africa’s contribution to global digital transformation discourse.
